Are you ready to make the change and upgrade to an electric car? At Heritage Honda, we’re one of the fastest-growing dealerships in the South West of England and are delighted to be able to bring PHEV options to our customers. Recently announced by the Japanese car manufacturer Honda is the Honda e-Hatchback which will be available in the UK by spring 2020 and new details have also been revealed.

Honda e Hatchback Details

Honda has confirmed a variety of specs for their new Honda e which is now available to pre order. First, it’s going to be powered by a 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which is going to be positioned at the centre of the vehicle. This is designed to ensure that the car does get the 50:50 weight distribution for the best performance and handling. With one rear-mounted electric motor to power the rear wheels the official performance stats have not yet been released.

This vehicle does, however, provide an impressive range. Indeed, on a single charge, you will be able to get to 125 miles. That’s more than the typical work commute and depending on where you live and your needs could keep your car powered for a whole week. Ultimately, this is going to be a fantastic city car. It also provides fast charging times and can reach 80% capacity in just 30 minutes.

Design & Technology

There are some stunning tech features in this vehicle too. That includes the use of cameras rather than typical mirrors. These cameras provide a live feed to the cabin through two six-inch screens. Without the mirrors, Honda suggests that the car is now 90% more efficient and stalks that are used instead add 3.8% in terms of performance.

The Honda e Hatchback is going to be available in a wide range of metallic finishes including a beautiful yellow variant and a more subdued black. As such, you shouldn’t have trouble finding the perfect style for you.

How much will the Honda e Hatchback Cost?

This hasn’t yet been revealed however, Honda is not marketing this as a budget car. Instead, they want to ensure that they provide the absolute max value to their customers and have compared the vehicle to an iPhone. A higher price for the latest and best tech on the market.

Why Choose an Electric Car?

There is actually a massive range of benefits to purchasing an EV. These are definitely going to be the cars of the future and for city living, they are a perfect choice. They provide a higher level of fuel efficiency which means you are going to cut down on running costs. These cars are even less expensive to maintain and in general require lower levels of servicing.

Furthermore, they are designed to be completely environmentally friendly. Fully electric cars or a hybrid running in electric mode will have zero emissions. As such, if you want to make sure that you are reducing your carbon footprint, this could be a great and smart choice.
