Ever since the Honda Jazz arrived on the scene back in 2002, it has been a popular choice for anyone looking for a spacious, reliable hatchback. The Honda Jazz has an enduring appeal, so much so that the model is now on its fourth incarnation.
The fourth-generation 2020 Honda Jazz is brimming with exciting features, and is available in two variations; the new Honda Jazz and Honda Jazz Crosstar. Here is what you can expect from the latest edition of this hugely popular, hugely practical super-mini MPV:
New Jazz with a New Look
The first thing that you will notice about the new Honda Jazz is its all-new design. The exterior of the latest edition has been redesigned, and now features a sleeker appearance with clean lines and distinctive curves. Together, these elements give the Jazz an aerodynamic, contemporary feel.
The addition of the Honda Jazz Crosstar provides an all-new trim level that will appeal to anyone that loves crossover styling. Roof bars and black cladding add to the Crosstar’s rugged good looks.
Increased Space and Comfort
The changes to the new Jazz continue inside. The Jazz interior is known for its spaciousness, and the latest edition is no exception boasting an impressive 1205L cargo capacity. The spacious interior means there is plenty of legroom for your passengers, but the increased comfort doesn’t end there. The ergonomic, anti-fatigue front seats make every journey comfortable, and the thinner A-pillars create a wider windscreen offering a panoramic view of the road.
In terms of tech, the dashboard has been redesigned to include a 7” digital driver display, plus a 9” Honda CONNECT Touchscreen, and ergonomic controls.
One of the most significant differences in the new Jazz is the inclusion of the e:HEV hybrid powertrain. The new Jazz features three drive modes; Electric Drive, Hybrid Drive, and Engine Drive. The advanced e:HEV hybrid seamlessly switches between modes to ensure the smoothest, most efficient driving experience.
The new Jazz runs on a 1.5-litre i-MMD petrol engine, an 80 kW dual electric motor, and a Lithium-Ion battery. In terms of performance, the new Jazz can reach a maximum speed of 108 mph and can go from 0 to 62 mph in 9.5 seconds.
Increased Safety Now as Standard
State-of-the-art safety technology now comes as standard right across the new Jazz range, helping to keep you and your passengers safer. The Honda SENSING driver assistance technology includes; Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Speed Limiter, Auto High Beam Headlights, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
